This 18th-century "2-up 2-down" cottage
is our latest conversion. Our first guests stayed in September 2011and
declared it to be great.
With
a modern extension housing a brand new kitchen and bathroom (including
whirlpool bath), it overlooks the old 2 acre cider orchard and the
patio leads directly into it.
On the ground floor are drawing room, study, breakfast
room, kitchen, bathroom and separate shower room. Upstairs there are 2
bedrooms - one with a double
bed, the other with twin beds.
Facilities include Freeview TV, DVD, CD/radio, ceramic
hob and built-in cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer,
automatic washing machine, and parking for 2 cars. There is full gas
central heating and an open fire in the
lounge.
In this cottage (but not the other 2) we welcome pets.

This detached 18th-century Grade II
listed coach house, set in the 2 acres of our grounds, has been completely
refurbished and equipped to an excellent standard.
The interior retains
the original wooden beams and panelling. There is a formal garden with a
patio, leading to the old cider orchard.
The property comprises a drawing room,
open plan dining room and kitchen, bathroom with
lavatory, and 2 bedrooms - one with queen-sized double
bed, and one family room with twin beds plus bunks.
Facilities include Freeview TV, DVD, CD/radio, ceramic
hob and built-in cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer,
automatic washing machine, TV in master bedroom, payphone,
cot, high chair and parking for 2 cars. We also offer 8Mb Broadband
connection (bring your own laptop). There is full
night storage central heating with an open coal fire in the
lounge.

We converted The Cider House to a luxury 5 Star standard and guests love
its spaciousness and facilities.
The beautiful
Blue
Lias flagstone floor was retained as were some of the exposed stone
walls.
Attached is a quaint South facing 18th Century conservatory
leading to a private formal garden.
On the ground floor the property comprises an open plan living/dining room
and kitchen, and a fully-tiled bathroom with high quality shower. The
seating area is arranged around a cosy wood-burning stove. A staircase leads to the gallery
bedroom with queen-sized double bed.
Facilities include a 42" plasma TV with HD Freesat, DVD, CD/radio, ceramic
hob and built-in cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer,
automatic washing machine, tumble drier, hairdryer, phone and parking for 1 car. We also offer 8Mb Broadband
connection (bring your own laptop). There is full
gas central heating as well as the wood-burning stove, so no need to
struggle with kindling if you don't want to!

properties are situated close to the Mendip Hills, within a
few miles of Glastonbury,
Wells
and Cheddar. The Somerset Levels, an important nature
conservation area, are only a mile away, and for those
wishing to visit the coast, Weston-Super-Mare
is 16 miles and the sandy beaches at
Burnham
on Sea only 10 miles. Shops and pub are only 100
yards away in the charming village of Wedmore.
